Alaska Inside Passage Cruise

Alaska, the great frontier!  We checked Alaska off of our bucket list when we took our cruise on Sept. 22-29, 2018.  Our ship sailed from Seattle, WA to our first port of call, Ketchikan, AK.  The fall weather gave us a cloudy and a bit foggy day with temps in the middle 50’s.  There was so much to see and do, we were barely able to scratch the surface (which means we’re going to have to go back!).  Next stop was Juneau, the state capital of Alaska.  This was our only rainy day, which sort of put a damper on exploring….we still did but picture taking proved to be challenging.  Skagway, our next port of call, proved to be my favorite port AND the best day of all!  Exploring the ports in Alaska and a couple of the excursions we took were wonderful but it’s the sheer beauty of the scenery that I’ll never forget.

Our final port of call was Victoria, British Columbia.  It was bustling and had several things to see and do.  Unfortunately, too many to fit into the time that we were in port!

Overall, this cruise was wonderful and one that WILL be done again!  Next time we cruise Alaska, I’d like to do it in the Spring or Summer…. I can only imagine the contrast in scenery from season to season.
